Bicycle Rental Agreement

This bicycle rental service is operated and managed by TABITASU TOURS.

This agreement stipulates the terms and conditions that customers (hereinafter referred to as "Users") must comply with when using this bicycle rental service.

By using this bicycle rental service, you agree to abide by these terms.

1. Rental Application

Applications can be made using one of the following methods:

Only via the TABITASU TOURS website.

Please note that telephone reservations (including temporary reservations) are not accepted.

When completing the rental procedures, please fill out the application form and present a form of identification (such as a driver's license, passport, health insurance card, or student ID). Please be aware that your identification will be copied or its number recorded.

The representative applying for the rental must be 18 years of age or older.

If any false information is provided on the application form, we may refuse your rental.

For reservations, please notify us as early as possible if you need to make changes or cancellations. Please note that if you are significantly late for your reserved time, your reservation may be cancelled.

2. Use of Personal Information

Personal information obtained by our company in connection with the use of this service will be handled in accordance with¹ our separately defined "Privacy Policy."

3. Rental Fees

Please refer to the price list on the TABITASU TOURS website.

4. Rental Period and Pick-up/Return Locations

The rental period is within the time specified by the customer, from 8:00 AM on the start date to 6:00 PM on the end date.

An extra charge of ¥1,500/hour will apply if you wish to pick up the bicycle before 8:00 AM.

A late fee of ¥1,500/hour will apply if the bicycle is not returned by 6:00 PM.

The return location is specified by the customer (extra charges apply for locations outside the designated area).

If you do not arrive within 30 minutes of your reserved time, your reservation will be cancelled.

If you anticipate being late, please be sure to contact us.

Furthermore, if we deem a situation to be malicious, such as a significant delay in return without contact, we may take measures such as filing a damage report with the relevant police station.

6. Bicycle Malfunctions

(Puncture Repairs)

For punctures that occur during use, repair fees may apply depending on your plan.

• In-store Pick-up/Return Plan: Charged (¥1,200 per tire)
• Delivery Plan: Free Please note that if you arrange for repairs at a bicycle shop yourself, the cost will be borne by the customer for all plans.

(Other Repairs)

Unless caused by our company, the cost of repairs for malfunctions or damage during rental will generally be borne by the customer.

If the bicycle malfunctions during use, please bring it back to the pick-up location as is. If the bicycle malfunction is attributable to the User, the User will be responsible for the repair costs.

Please note that we cannot bear the cost of repairs if you repair the bicycle yourself without our prior consent. Even if damage occurs to the User or a third party due to a bicycle malfunction, our company will not be held responsible unless the malfunction is attributable to us.

7. Bicycle Theft/Loss

You are responsible for the management of the rented bicycle and its accessories.

Always lock the bicycle when parking. In case of theft or loss, the actual cost will be borne by the customer.

If the bicycle is parked in a no-parking zone and impounded, the customer is responsible for retrieving it. Any necessary expenses for retrieval will be borne by the customer.

8. Accidents

Our company assumes no responsibility for any damages incurred by the User due to accidents or theft caused by a third party during the rental period.

If the User is involved in an accident during the rental period, they must take the legally stipulated measures, such as promptly notifying the police station, and report the date, time, location, cause, and circumstances of the accident to the information center.

If a settlement is required for an accident, it must be handled at your own responsibility. Notwithstanding the preceding paragraph, if our company suffers damage, including cases where we are compelled to pay compensation to a third party, we may claim such compensation from the User.

9. Insurance

We provide domestic travel insurance.

For hourly rentals, insurance premiums are not included (can be purchased separately for ¥550 per person).

The personal injury insurance provided by our company applies only to Japanese nationals or foreign residents in Japan.

If you do not meet these conditions, you must arrange your own insurance.

• Death/Residual Disability: ¥5,000,000
• Daily Hospitalization Benefit: ¥4,000
• Daily Outpatient Benefit: ¥2,000
• Liability (Self-pay ¥0): ¥30,000,000
• Personal Effects: Not covered
• Rescuer Expenses: ¥1,000,000 Coverage is limited to what is covered by the insurance policy.

10. Loss/Damage of Key

If the bicycle key is lost or damaged, a replacement fee of ¥3,000 will be charged.

11. Prohibited Acts

Users are prohibited from engaging in the following acts:

(1) Drunk driving, reckless driving, or any other acts that violate traffic laws.

(2) Use in dangerous places or other inappropriate locations.

(3) Parking in bicycle no-parking zones or in places that obstruct pedestrians or bicycle traffic.

(4) Modifying the bicycle.

(5) Continuing to ride the bicycle when an abnormality (such as a puncture) is detected during operation.

(6) Allowing anyone other than the applicant to use the bicycle.

12. Changes to Terms and Conditions

Please note that these terms, closing days, business hours, and service content may be changed without prior notice.

13. Cancellation of Use

If a User violates these terms, even during the rental period, the use will be cancelled, and the bicycle must be returned promptly.

In such cases, any security deposit received by our company will not be refunded.

Furthermore, if our association or a third party suffers damage due to a violation of these terms, we may claim compensation for such damage from the User.

There have been many traffic accidents involving rental bicycles.

Please observe traffic laws and ride safely during your rental period.

Bicycles are light vehicles. In principle, please ride on the left side of the roadway in a single file.
